WOW!!!......is it really 2012??????

Well so much for my  so called "weekly posting" (really?)  you know these blogs, do take time and care (blah-blah-blah)  anyhoo.... going for the resolution thing (hahaha) and since I go to bed late, I thought I would actually start posting at night (we'll see) .....and show the Christmas cards I made.......(so lets see)

I did have a hard time photographing this card..the navitiviy image was cut from copper metallic paper which caused the glare and its hard to see the swiss dots on the base card...

the gift boxes were just scraps cut into different sizes using paper raffia



the two lower cards were made using the same folder one embossed  



and this one de-bossed

and I made a few gift card/money holders

these were a big hit......or was it the gift card or the money in it?????????

sooooo how was this for a post???  or this is enough for now

WOW!!!............Has it really been a month

Since my last post???? I'm trying to post at least once a week(doesn't look like a very good track record to me) So to keep me on track...I decided to show my cards in some type of order......like Thank you, Birthdays and so on............. just to keep me busy with this blog(sometimes I don't know why I get myself into these things)

But first I like to show a couple of pics I took on a road trip I did with my mom (89 and she did GREAT) and my youngest sister...we drove up north,  stopping at Gilroy (no joke when you take a breath you smell garlic(for sure!)for a late lunch then drove to Fremont(cute little town/city??) stayed at a convent  a couple of nights My dad's sister(who passed away last yr) and cousin are nuns.......   

the grounds are beautiful!!!!! and the sisters are so precious!!!!

We had a great time, we had dinner on fisherman's wharf  and the weather was good that we were able to take a stroll too .....so glad that my mom was able to take the trip and to see sister B........Thanks sis for including me to tag along.........so


Here are a couple of thank you cards I made for the Sisters of the Holy Family....

hummm.... a card short...one for my aunt (really 2nd cousin) and one for sister Ruth (Director and who made arrangement for us to stay in the convent) and one for sister Carole (who gave us(just me and my sister, since my mom had been there many times before) a tour of the convent and shared the history).....so where is her card????? .....and that means up late again tonight....

Where.........Oh Where.......Have I Been??????

Hello cyber world.......wondering what happen to me???   Well  let me tell you whats going on..........
first of all.........
DON'T (and I really mean "DON'T) work around your laptop when its not properly placed in a safe place (and you already have guessed how I know this) yes that right!!!!! !!!
I tripped over the cord of my laptop (I was watching...... actually listening to a movie) while I was cooking dinner ****NOTICE*******COOKING IS HAZARDOUS to laptop!!!  pulling my laptop off the kitchen table which went crashing down on stone tile flooring (I have dropped so many glass lids.....oh! hubby has dropped a few too, which also went crashing down in a million tiny pieces...... I really think COOKING is over RATED!! 

Anyway......I killed my hard drive....losing everything all my pics of my grand kids,  pics and instructions of the cards I made.......... surprisingly I took it very well .....hubby still teases me about getting to close to his laptop . So off to Best Buy (since we needed to replace the drive we went bigger -500GB) and we picked up a external hard drive-500 .....Thank goodness for family members in the computer field!!!! he was able to retrieve all my pics but lost my documents ..... and to add to my problems something is wrong with my blog (which I let my fingers do some buton pushing and made a mess), I took a pic of the problem and hopefully someone in the cyber world can walk me through to repair it  

and that's my story and I'm sticking to it......

Well...........I decided to return ....

Why???....now that's a good question!!! (I'll have to get back to you on that one....even I don't know why).......just sitting here watching a movie - The commitments..great movie (did I mention..this is about the tenth time...luv the music....anyway.....on to some pics.......how about birthday cards???? OK

just a simple one using happy birthday folder and some stickles and the next one

is using the number folder....was thinking more for a male no ribbons or bling....

the truck is a SU stamp and the candles with the sentiment is a M's 1.00 stamp colored with markers
lets see..........what else ....... I made  kiddie ones too

this was made for my niece's baby 1st b-day and this time I remembered to post the inside...only thing wrong....... is that I forgot to take a pic before I wrote in it  (oh well)   :( .....
 the next one was for my grandson's 2nd

 next one was also for my niece's second lil one (yes.....some time did go by).....

you can't see it,,,but I did cut layers from cereal boxes then glued my cs on and pop dotted the images

this one I stamped the flower image cut them out, colored them with marker and coated with glitter, used the word as the stems.......there's more but its now 12:26 and I've been up since 6:00am and gone ALL day....I'm getting sleepy........
ANYWAY.......until then..

Well I got the hint.......GOT THE HINT  (letting my baby girl know I got her hint to post more ofen).......so I thought I would share some of my beginner cards...

and as you can see....no die cuts.. I was into buttons and flowers....

this one was made using large (and I mean large) stamp from SU.... (which a sweet friend gave to me...Thanks Lori) I embossed it and cut it out... cutting off the second flower and pop-dotting it to a script embossed base and of course I added the so called "famous" skittles..I colored with a red tombow marker.....I was into stamping (which my DD got my into)

see more stamping, beads and ribbon and the card below is stamped (CTMH) and I used oil pastals 

that you would rub on wax paper then use a q-tip and color the image..

Anyway....it is now 11:45 and I got to get to bed...going to visit the little guys tomorrow

and its a 2hr drive and I have to be there BEFORE  11:00 (my son-dada has a dentist appt) and I'm going to watch the two boys :)

Well here I am.....just thought I would stop by and post a few pics of baby cards I did (some time ago..I must add)

and of course had to do one for a boy too......

and the next two  I thought came out pretty cute (if I do say so myself).....

here is one I made for my beautiful daughter, she needed a card for a baby shower and wanted me to use this ribbon....

 the ribbon is cloth and much more colorful then the pic shows...(does that make sense?)
who knows.....
And now that I'm ready to publish this post I noticed in the preview I didn't post pic of the insides of the cards (see what happens when I try to do something after midnite)

How Awesome.....

I had visitors....how nice of you to stop by to check out my place...(I have to visit more often too :)  after all it is my place)  .....

Oh....... I went to the scrapbook expo with my niece on Friday...we had a great time and we got to pick up some of those Promarkers, thats buzzing around a few blogs...also picked some Japanese vellum paper(beautiful!) and bling of all colors shapes and sizes can you believe it for only ,99cents each, rolls of adhesive tape...also the sizzix booth demo Tim Holtz new toy...an electric die and embossing machine (meaning like the big shot/cuttlebug)...it even cuts and embosses metal!!! like butter...just with a touch of your finger (well... you had to hold down the button til it passes through).....

Did I mentioned I had a B-day??? (why would I....just to let you know I'm getting deeper into the senior citizen bracket...but not close enough to collect SS :( still have to wait another year).... but I did receive phone calls from my beautiful children, big hugs from my grandchildren...just luving it..is all I can say....
