Hello Blog World

Wow!!!  2013 was a real test for our family.....without sharing our tearful events.... Happy... did I say Happy???    Thrilled!!   Ecstatic!!! to say the least...we have reach the end of the dark tunnel.. There will be a long process.. but its the first year that is the toughest.  The ending week of April will be year 1.  So prayers are still requested. Just to add to the events.. my Mother passed away(in the beginning of 2o14) two days before my birthday in February...she was 91 and did see progressive changes in the world, she still had her full memory which was fabulous... So again a slow beginning of the new year.

Oh! did I mention my laptop (again!!)  well it seems Microsoft has put XP out to pasture and will no longer support it :(  so now I have to go look for a new one.....bummer (do you think they got tired of me dropping my laptop?? (just 3 times too many...that's all??) I'm on our desk computer right now ... But just take a wild guess what it is.....right XP!! their memory will be wiped out and I'll use them just to watch movies and listen my music!

I am slowly getting back in my craft room....Hubby made a center counter with storage  for me, now my sewing machine has a home and not stored on a shelf collecting dust I must add.. and I have more room to work on...

I just wanted you to know, I'm still here and still trying to keep up this blog (ugh!)

Anyway.....until next time

Well....Here I Am..

Hello All....Thought I would finally post, just to show that I haven't given up on myself...LOL
I have been drawing a blank mind when I enter my craft room (isn't that a killer?) especially when you get a few new toys to play with ....
Here is a card I made for a cyber friend going through some tough times..

I luv the pattern paper, you can make a wedding card, sympathy or classy B-day card.....
I like the way the weaved ribbon just in one corner turned out, so you can still admire the background paper
I distressed and inked with vintage photo the edges of the paper ..the ribbon is from M's
I cut the swirl pearls from "want 2 Scrap" when I went to the Scrap Expo last year (which had 2-3 in a pkg  only .99 cents)  added them just above and on the side the sentiment as if they are flowing out......

The scalloped square was cut from mini monogram also inked with vintage photo and Brillance Pearlescent oral

side view to see the pearls better

Anyway......until next time

I know..I know...

I should have been here sooner...But remember I did say that I wasn't that crazy about blogging......luv blog hopping just not my own....LOL

This time I will share a few ATC (Artist Trading Card) that I had made for a group that I'm in........I'll just pick a few...(how does that sound)
We  exchange monthly and we can choose any style or the event of that month....

the bunny is from Paper Doll Dress up cart and the chickie is a dollar stamp from M's.....but what I did was crave out the inside of the egg (it had solid flowers....you do do that? right?) and then stamped a small heart in the center of the egg instead...looks nicer

and of course the good ol backpack for Sept. the backpack is from Doodlecharms cart, the apple is from the old Sizzix die and the ruler, pencil, crayons and the stack of books I free hand drew, colored and cut (check out the fat red one..LOL)
the Happy Thanksgiving is a dollar stamp,  I stamp in timber brown Saz-On then traced the letters with the Zig fine point glue pen and sprinkled glitter on it....the turkey is also from Doodlecharms cart and I can't remember where the pie was cut from....but the leaves I found in the floral dept at M's
the background is a single stamp that i bought in San Diego and the flag is a set I found on clearance in a LSS that has now closed and for the last one
flourish from Accent Essentials and the flowers was cut from (I think) WIMG which I color and shaped and added a gem to the center....

Well there you go.......hoped you liked this posting ....cause it was a Big pain  to do, had some technical problems that I had to close down laptop and restart a few times...

Anyway.....until next time

HELLLOOO 2013

Did it just get here??? (yeah right!)   yes,  I've been missing (well   just to lazy to post...LOL) it has been very cold here and I just want to sit in front of the wood burning stove and stay warm!....
Anyway....I did make some cards, but this time I'm going to spilt them into 2 posts, that way it won't look like I don't like to blog...LOL  (laaazzzy)

So here we go....

this Birthday card I used the EK success bubble punch and made strips for background,  the scallop circle cut from mini mono and the stamps are inkadinkadoo
(and I remembered to take a pic of the inside!)

For the confetti, I used the dots from the punched strips and the sentiment is from the same stamp set... looking at the pic I see a yellow shadow (???) but its not on the card and that's what counts.......and tombo markers to color the cupcakes...

This one I used the same stamp set, swiss dot folder, same markers (so detailed!)
and no pic of inside, sentiment is...
Have a wonderful Day!

I had fun making the next one....

For this one I used the carousel cart and you can see still liking the bubble punch and the different bright color strips...this is A2 card and I also made a 5x7 size too...

So there you go.........I'm blogging again and maybe tomorrow too (we'll see.......LOL)
Anyway.........until next time!

Here Are A Few More Cards

That  I made while I was on a card fest...I'll show the card I made for my grandson's 4th Birthday.....he's into Thomas the Train right now....so I made him a train card....
you may click on the pictures to enlarge

and this is the inside
I used stickers I had in my stash...cause he is also into stickers and luvs to stick them to his body....now why do kids like to do that??? sadly to say he tried it with Stamps....went right ahead and lick and stick right to his forehead (and did they stick!!)

I used the everyday paper dolls cart for the train and the lion's cage (is that whats it called?) the lion is a sticker too.

The next one I put together because  I had cut them out awhile back (and didn"t do anything with them)...so I made the little plane a slider on ribbon and just stamped Happy Birthday

The cute plane is from the cart...new arrival
and of course the paper from the good old
stash...I have sooo much 12x12 pattern paper that I need to use up (cause you know there is always new paper line coming out)

I also made a couple of baby cards .......

I used green for the base card, just to change from the traditional "baby colors"
Since everyone knows what they are having before the baby is born (thanks to ultrasounds) and the baby clothes are now styled in today's fashion (the kid is hip before he or she can see)

I had to do one in blue (can't get away from tradition) and it still looks cute and stylish (and of course forgot to take pics of the inside) the sentiment is a SU stamp and a cuttlebug folder (oops...forgot to write down the name)

There nicely done....still have more cards to show...like I said before can't show them all at once (this does make me come back here and pretend I'm blogging)

Anyway......until next time..

Well It Only Took Me Forever....

To post again  (see...just like I said...)..I've been making cards (yeah...uh huh)
I"ll  just show them to you...

I used paper lace II folder on the base and I
click on any of the pictures to enlarge
used (of course still in luv with making my own flowers...and coloring them myself)..
Purely Pomegranate ink from SU to ink the flower and centered it with a pearl   MS punch for the border around the "happy birthday"

And of course I had to try it in purple with a yellow flower only this time I used a light purple gem for the center......

This one is for my daughter in law...and since September's birthstone is Sapphire,  I used Mediterranean Blue from Brilliance (cause honey, this is the closes I'm getting to the real thing ...this color is close..right?)....

See...... I was making cards.....I did make quite a few other types of cards.....but if I show them all ... I wouldn't have anything else to post

Anyway.....Until next time...

Tuesday, June 19, 2012

Well I have returned.....

maybe not as soon as I thought I should have (but at least  in the same month)... so I'll show a few cards I made.....  for kids cards, I like to use Everyday Paper Dolls cart.....
and of course....I remembered to take a photo of the inside of the card...

The paw print is a single small stamp that someone gave me (and you were going to give it away!) the base card is a pre-made 5 1/2 x 7 1/4 and so I made the puppy at 5 1/2 to fill most of the base, using pattern paper for the puppy, I  creased the knees and inked the puppy, added ribbon for a collar then placed down with pop ups.. her eyes is what makes her so cute........
May was my youngest grandson's B-day
....here is his  card..

I didn't want to use the puppy because I used it for his 1st b-day and didn't want to do a repeat....I'm not sure if I posted a pic of that one already..so excuse me for the repeat......

This puppy is so cute in any size or type of paper...... for some reason I can't find the inside of the card...but I cut a fire hydrate in red and inked it (did you take a pic of the inside???)
So.....there you go..did alittle posting, showed some pics...And I call this complete!.....
Anyway  .....  Until next time.........
